Focusing On Our Future

“Plans to give you a hope and a future”

Jeremiah 29:11

“There is surely a future hope for you,

and your hope will not be cut off.”

Proverbs 23:18

1.        God’s plan cannot be stopped by man’s plans

“No human wisdom or understanding or plan can stand against the Lord.” (Proverbs 21:30, NLT)

“People may plan all kinds of things, but the Lord’s will is going to be done.” (Proverbs 19:21, GN)

2.        God’s plan cannot be stopped by man’s schemes

“Although they plot against you, their evil schemes will never succeed.” (Psalm 21:11, NLT)

PLEASE NOTE:  Every “scheme” of man and of the Devil in the Bible was considered “evil.”

3.        God’s plan cannot be stopped by man’s economy

“But now I said to them, ‘You know very well what trouble we are in.  Jerusalem lies in ruins, and its gates have been destroyed by fire.  Let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem and end this disgrace!’  Then I told them how the gracious hand of God had been on me, and about my conversation with the king.  They replied at once, ‘Yes, let’s rebuild the wall!’  So they began the good work.”  (Nehemiah 2:17-18, NLT)
