THE AMAZING WAY GOD BRINGS FREEDOM
Acts 16:16-40

1.     God brings all sorts of freedom!

 

A.    Freedom from a spirit

Freedom to live with a clean life and clear mind

 

B.     Freedom from a past of being used & abused  

     by others

Freedom to live a valued life

 

C.     Freedom from not living up to the standards

Freedom to live with joy, not condemnation

 

D.    Freedom from sin

Freedom to live a fulfilling, meaningful life   

     connected daily with God

 

E.     Freedom from a culture of resistance

Freedom to have confidence in sharing the

     Good News

 

2.      God uses people to bring His freedom to others!

Matthew 16:19 “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."

3.     God shapes the people He uses so they are ready to bring freedom!

 

A.    Be sensitive

 

Acts 16:6-10 “…kept by the Holy Spirit…the Spirit of Jesus would not allow them…a vision: come over to Macedonia and help us…concluding that God had called us…”

 

B.      Be troubled

Matthew 23:37  "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing.”

C.      Be joyful

 

Romans 12:12  “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”

 

D.     Be aware

 

Philippians 2:4  “Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.”

 

E.     Be ready

Colossians 4:5-7 “Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.”
