Genesis 15:1—18; 17:1—8

Focus: Genesis 17:6 –8

"And I will make you exceedingly fruitful, and I will make nations of you, and kings shall come forth from you. "And I will establish My covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to your descendants after you.  "And I will give to you and to your descendants after you, the land of your sojourning, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God."

 

 

1.  Abraham showed his faith by      obedience                 .

Genesis 12:4 So Abram went forth as the LORD had spoken to him;

 

 

 

2.  Abraham’s faith was  validated        by    God             .

Genesis 15:13 And God said to Abram, "Know for certain…”

 

 

 

3.  Abraham’s faith was a   walk            of    holiness      .

Genesis17:1 Now when Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him,

  "I am God Almighty;

  Walk before Me, and be blameless.

 

 

 

Micah 6:8 He has showed you, O man, what is good.

And what does the LORD require of you?

To act justly and to love mercy

and to walk humbly with your God.

 

 

 

Each one has service to do for the Lord…but for the most part we just live our lives with faith in God
