“Take a Walk
with Jesus
Along the
Via Dolorosa”
Luke 18:31—19:10
Pastor George Cargill
Harvester Church of the Nazarene
Thursday, March 5, 2009
Focus:
Luke 19:10 "… the Son of Man has
come to seek and to save that which was lost."
What would
it be like to walk with Jesus?
1JN 1:1 What
was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our
eyes, what we beheld and our hands handled, concerning the Word of
Life-- 2 and the life was manifested, and we have seen and bear witness
and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was
manifested to us-- 3 what we have seen and heard we proclaim to you
I would feel

v37 And they
told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by. 38 And he called out,
saying, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!"
I would long
for
.
"Lord, I
want to see,"
I would
really want
.
"Behold,
Lord, half of my possessions I will give to the poor, and if I have
defrauded anyone of anything, I will give back four times as much."
I would
sense that

36 Now
hearing a multitude going by, he began to inquire what this might be. 37
And they told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by. 38 And he
called out, saying, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!"
I would

"Behold, we
are going up to Jerusalem, and all things which are written through the
prophets about the Son of Man will be accomplished…40 And Jesus stopped
and commanded that he be brought to Him…5 when Jesus came to the place,
He looked up and said to him, "Zaccheus, hurry and come down, for today
I must stay at your house."
